This is a great place to have an easy, casual, fun group gathering! We just did lunch with a group of about 22 of us there. We used the “front” area of the restaurant (closest to the street). Lots of room to mix and mingle. They have both booths and bigger tables. We used the big high-top table for all the food. The parking is super easy. It’s close to Cal Poly (if that matters for you). You don’t have to deal with parking downtown. The food is good! We were even able to get a gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese for one of our guests with dietary restrictions. Bill and Mario took great care of us (thanks, guys!!). They do have outside seating if you prefer to be outside. They also have a few arcade games for the kids. I did a drop-in birthday party here a few years ago. Definitely consider this place for your next group gathering!

Gino's catered a huge school event for us, and the compliments never stopped from the families eating the perfect Italian family meal. It all started with amazing service from Bill in helping me plan this meal for approx. 200 people. He was more like a friend than someone who worked at a restaurant. Never once did Bill try to sell me on more than I needed or upsell me on something that wasn't appropriate for our event. He was like the best friend who helps you through a panic attack and makes everything better. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and thoughtful Bill and his team were. The chef, Mario, and his team had all the food looking beautiful, uniform, and delicious! Having worked in restaurants, I know there's always something that gets missed, even if really small. But not with Gino's, everything was perfect, and I think we actually may have gotten a little more than we ordered. There was not one issue with our countless trays of food.When you look at value, quality, customer service, and friendliness, I can't imagine a better catering experience in the area. Thank you Bill, Mario, and team!! I'm a lifer Gino's fan.

Came here for lunch while visiting SLO, stayed at the hotel across the street. Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I got the chicken parmesan lunch special and a small cesar salad. I wish I had taken a picture of the plate before I ate it because even the presentation of the dish was excellent. The chicken had a nice crispy-ness to it and was very delicious. The pasta sauce has a lot of flavor. The garlic bread that came with it was perfect: the bread was toasted but still very soft and complimented the sauce very well. The Cesar salad itself impressed me because the Cesar dressing tasted so fresh, it must have been made in house. The overall aesthetics and ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasing and relaxing with a beautiful view of Monterey St.I truly didn’t have high expectations for a local pizza place, but this place has set the bar high for a local pizza spot. Don’t skip this place. My partner said his pizza had generous toppings and the dough was soft and overall very good. I would definitely come here again.
